Fire in the Moutain Festival, tunes and singing!

Posted by Ed Hicks on May 5, 2014

Next Thursday at Chats Palace, Homerton, the play folk tunes course starts again.  This six week course is a great way to improve your musicality, learn about folk music and start to develop a repertoire of tunes you can play with other people for fun or for dances.  There’s always a great crowd of people down there and a lot of the people who’ve been coming for awhile now meet up in between the classes to play through the repertoire for fun.  Come down and join in!

The shanty choir are also going from strength to strength and now have a few performance under their belts.  Their next performance is on the 11th of May back at TripSpace, Haggerston.  They’ll also be joined by The Ballina Whalers and  Firefly Burning  who are both great bands.
