Come one, come all to a whole day of fun, folk-filled music, friends, song, and dance on Sunday July 29th, 2018. After our wildly successful week-long residentials the past two summers, we decided to bring the best parts of Trad Camp to London, offering a day-long folk festival for children ages 8-13.

Our Day Fest will be held in The Gallery space at the back of The Stoke Newington Library, just off of Church Street, N16. Fingers crossed for beautiful sunshine so that part of our day can be spent in Clissold Park for tried-and-true Trad Camp games and activities.

We will start the day at 10am with group singing and games. Tune- playing and folk-dancing sessions will be held throughout the day, interspersed with various activities indoor and out. We will provide lunch and snacks. Children are encouraged to bring their instruments, but it is not a requirement. All abilities are welcome!

To end our day, the children will put on a mini-performance for parents and guardians. We will invite families to bring a dish to share for a folky feast so that we have lots of energy to all participate in a ceilidh dance. Following the ceilidh, some of the tutors and other special guest musicians will perform for everyone. Our festivities will end by 8pm and we will say farewell until next time.

We are going to have such a fantastic time at our Trad Camp Day Fest! If you have any further questions please get in touch with Chance Kellner at chance@tradacademy.co.uk or Ed Hicks ed@tradacademy.co.uk.
