Pete Truin

Pete TruinPete Truin is an accomplished singer and mutli-instrumentalist with experience of performing in a wide variety of musical styles, including regular appearances at home and abroad with the shanty group The Ballina Whalers and as a caller of country dance with The Ceilidh Tree.  He has a broad knowledge of aural traditions, particularly jazz, world and folk music, and works regularly as a facilitator and music leader with many organisations including The Royal Albert Hall, Spitalfields Music and Share Music South West.  Pete has worked extensively with musicians and non-musicians of all abilities in schools, hospitals, prisons and the wider community and specialises in working with participants with special educational needs including ASD and physical disabilities.  Pete  is a lifelong sailor, having been on, in and around the sea since his earliest days!
