This Thursday we’re celebrating the end of the Trad Academy’s second term, the coming of Christmas and 12 weeks of swing dancing and live jazz at Chats Palace by having a big Christmas Party!  We’re teaming up with Swing Patrol to offer a night of live music, free dance classes and good times at Chats Palace this Thursday 6th December.The night will start at 8:00 with free classes in both swing dancing (taught by Swing Patrol) and Appalachian Flat-footing (taught by Trad Academy’s very own Jo Bowis).  This will give everyone the skills to be ready to dance like crazy to a night of live music from the band.

The band will be playing a mixture of jumping swing jazz numbers and hillbilly country music so everyone will have something to dance to.  If we’re lucky the night will end off in a west-side story style dance off – flatfoot vs swing!
